Merit Erectors was proud to be a partner with many other construction companies for one of the biggest projects taking place in Cincinnati. The renovation of Music Hall was completed in October of 2017. This 143 Million Dollar job was a one year project for us at Merit, but Music Hall has been closed for over a year and a half.

Music Hall first opened in 1878. It’s been a long-standing piece of history for the City, but not an easy renovation. Since the building is so old, almost every piece of metal that went into the building had to be field verified. That means we had to take new measurements for each piece to make sure they actually fit since the original drawings of the building were not always accurate. We had to be meticulous and patient when it came to this project. Experience was a must, and we are proud of the work Merit employees did. A lot of the pieces were designed as the project progressed, and without experienced employees this would not have been possible.

Music Hall will feature new seating, concessions, stage improvements, bathrooms, elevators, offices, production areas and rehearsal space.

Music Hall will open October 6th to the public. For the latest schedule of event, visit https://www.cincinnatiarts.org/music-hall
